There’s only one week left in Prediction Machine’s NFL Pick ’em contest and the top of the standings have never been tighter.
The field of 53 contestants included PM subscribers, former NFL players, former MLB players, beat writers and sports handicappers. After 17 weeks, nine contestants are within three games of the lead.
Week 17 saw former PM Betting Analyst Tony Farmer go 4-1 along with three PM subscribers to notch the best records of the week. Farmer’s only loss on the week was the Panthers failing to cover the spread vs. Jacksonville.
Danny Burke of Burkesbeat.com and Samantha Bunten from NBC Sports were among those who wrapped up Week 17 with a respectable 3-2 record.
PM subscriber “RMENDIVIL” leads the standings with a very impressive 52-33 mark vs. the spread, but those behind him smell blood in the water as he’s only gone 4-6 the last two weeks.
Farmer is tied for second place with PM subscribers “SHIEKHERS” and “NICKRICHIE24” one game back of the lead. Burke is tied for fifth place (50-35) with PM subscriber “PENETRATORS.” Iain MacMillan (Bacon Bets Podcast) and Kevin Hanson (EatDrinkAndSleepFootball.com) are tied with PM Subscriber JET$$$$$$$ three games behind the leader and all still have a shot to win.
The Week 18 schedule features seven road favorites and a lot of uncertainty with several backup quarterbacks slated to make starts. Good luck to everyone!
