2015 Big Board - top prospects for the NFL Draft.

The 2015 Draft is still a ways off, but scouts are starting to dig into each prospect's abilities, background (both on and off the field) and level of commitment to football.

This first Big Board has a collection of talented prospects from all of the major conferences in college football. There are a few small school prospects who we are keeping our eyes on to see if they can dominate over the next couple of months.

Four quarterbacks make the initial Board. Leading the way is Marcus Mariota (Oregon); he takes the top overall spot. Mariota, with his combination of size, speed, accuracy, and athleticism is head and shoulders above any other quarterback in this year's draft class.

While I usually advise NFL teams to stay away from running backs in the first round, Todd Gurley just might be the exception to that rule. A bruising tailback who is an excellent pass catcher, Gurley is a dynamic athlete who can be an instant upgrade to almost any NFL offense.

Leading the way on the defensive side of the ball are Leonard Williams (USC) and Vic Beasley (Clemson), two dynamic pass rushers who have consistently shown that they are two of the nation's top pass rushers. Williams can line up at the defensive tackle or defensive end position and is capable of causing havoc at either spot.

One prospect to watch is Shawn Oakman (Baylor). This is his first season as a starter and at 6'8” and 275 pounds, he has one of the more imposing physical statures in college football. Oakman has started out strong, but scouts will look to see if he can still dominate a game when opponents start to game plan against him.

A lot will change between now and the first pick of the draft. As it stands now, this is my Top-32 Big Board. We will update the board at the end of every month throughout the college football season.
