Richner: Top 35 Prospects

Last Updated: 1/18/2015 8:58 PM ET
With the draft just right around the corner, and after months of player evaluations, we have reached the final Top-35 prospect rankings. We have ranked each player using statistical analysis of their performance both this season and in past seasons. I'm sure you all know by now that we take an objective viewpoint, focusing more on a player's stats and performance with little to no weight on their 40-yard dash times or the number of bench press totals. These rankings don't reflect the actual order I believe the players will get drafted.

The final rankings have six defensive players ranked in the top ten, led by Khalil Mack. The outside linebacker position, with five players, has the most ranked players of any position group in this year's draft. The first quarterback on the big board is Teddy Bridgewater who fell five spots to the eighth spot.

There are eleven new players who make their first appearance on the big board, led by Jimmie Ward (FS, Northern Illinois) and Demarcus Lawrence (DE, Boise State). Ward was a dynamic playmaker, and a consistent producer the last couple of years. He has steadily risen up the draft board and finds himself in the top fifteen. Lawrence is just a two year starter for Boise State, and while he has some off field issues, he has been one of the most productive players when he steps out on to the field.
