Ohio State won the College Football Playoff National Championship Game Monday night. The Buckeyes beat Oregon 42-20 to capture the first playoff crown. But which team will win it all next season?
The Buckeyes are 6/1 favorites to repeat. Ohio State joined Alabama, Notre Dame, USC and Oklahoma as the only schools to win six national titles. The Tide repeated as champions in 2011 and 2012, USC accomplished the feat in 2003 and 2004, can Ohio State win the playoff again?
This year's runner-up, Oregon, is tied for the fourth best odds to capture the title. The Ducks 14/1 odds would likely improve if Marcus Mariota returns for his senior season.
TCU, snubbed by the selection committee this year, has the second best odds at 15/2. The Horned Frogs thumped Ole Miss in the Peach Bowl and are expected to have ten returning starters on offense and six more on defense.
What would college football be without the SEC? The conference has twelve teams with odds including Alabama at 10/1, Auburn at 14/1 and LSU 16/1 rounding out the top ten most likely teams.
Michigan got its man. The Wolverines win total for the 2015 regular season is set at 8.5 wins. If you think Jim Harbaugh can turn the program around, Michigan is a longshot at 75/1 to win it all.
