The Washington Nationals have signed top free-agent Max Scherzer. The 2013 American League Cy Young Award winner agreed to a seven-year contract with the Nationals worth $210 million.

The addition of Scherzer has lowered Washington's World Series odds. The Nats are now 6/1 favorites to win it all bumping the Los Angeles Dodgers from the top spot.

Scherzer turned down an offer from Detroit last March that would have paid him $144 million. Losing Scherzer is expected to hurt the Tigers. Detroit is now 14/1 to capture the Fall Classic.

James Shields, Colby Rasmus and Rickie Weeks, among others, remain as the top free agents. Where will these players sign and what kind of impact will they have on the World Series odds?
