    Fire Head Coaches (08/14/14)

    By Paul Bessire
Which coaches are on the hot seat? Who will be the first coach fired? Odds courtesy of Bovada.lv.

After three consecutive 8-8 seasons, it might not be much of a surprise that Jason Garrett (2/1) is the favorite to be the first Head Coach fired this season. The good news, we don't project the Cowboys to finish 8-8 this year, the bad news, Dallas finishes last in the NFC East (and is only favored in one game all season).

Of the coaches most likely to get the axe in 2014, four of the top six have losing career records (the first seven and all but two on this list are projected to have losing records this season). In that same group, four coaches of the top six coaches have only been at the helm of their respective organization for two years or less.

For most coaches, getting hired comes with the knowledge that, one day, they will get fired. Two of the league's longest tenured coaches, Marvin Lewis (20/1) and Tom Coughlin (25/1), make the list.

Even Super Bowl winning coaches could become the first casualty of the season. Two Super Bowl champions, Mike Tomlin (33/1) and Tom Coughlin (again), have odds to be dismissed.

Who do you think will be fired first?

04/24/2017 Highlight: With baseball season now in full swing, we can leverage our ResultsFinder tool to profile our season-to-date numbers. MLB sides, totals, and run lines have all been profitable to date, generating a total of $580 for an average $50 bettor. There are have been a total of nine "normal" or better positions year-to-date, and those positions are a sparkling 8-1 (88.9%), producing $393 in total profits. There is a ton of variance in baseball and there will be ups-and-downs along the way, but the early returns on the Predictalator's baseball projections are promising.

The NBA Playoffs tipped off this week and the Predictalator is off to a stellar start. With a full season's worth of data to work with, the Predictalator has historically fared very well in the postseason across all sports, and this year has been no different. NBA playoff sides are 9-7 (56.3%) ATS, while NBA playoff totals are 15-9 (62.5%) through Sunday's action. A $50 bettor would have amassed $401 in total profits through the first week of the postseason alone.
