Only four teams remain as the 2014 World Cup draws to a close. The quarterfinals were all chalk with Brazil, Germany, Argentina and the Netherlands advancing.

Each of the four soccer powers is 180 minutes away from capturing the World Cup.

    Semifinal Preview

    Argentina
    Record: 5-0-0, Goal differential: +5 (8-3)

Lionel Messi has led Argentina back to the semifinals, the first final four appearance for the country since 1990. Argentina is the new favorite to win it all, the squad has not allowed a goal since the group stage.

    Brazil
    Record: 3-0-2, Goal differential: +6 (10-4)

Brazil will be without the services of Neymar for the remainder of the World Cup. The Barcelona striker leads the host country in goals and shots. In addition to losing Neymar, Thiago Silva is suspended from the Selecao's semifinal against Germany. Brazil will have its work cut out for them if they are to capture their sixth World Cup.

    Germany
    Record: 3-0-2, Goal differential: +7 (10-3)

Germany has advanced to its fourth consecutive semifinal. The Germans have allowed the fewest goals in the tournament.

    Netherlands
    Record: 4-0-1, Goal differential: +8 (12-4)

The Netherlands high-powered offense leads the tournament with twelve goals scored. Since 1986, no team has reached the World Cup final with pre-tournament odds higher than 20/1. Can the Netherlands buck the trend?

According to FiveThirtyEight.com, Brazil is still the favorite to win the World Cup, though Neymar's injury has lowered the host country's odds to win it all.

Bookmakers have the most likely final being Argentina vs. Brazil (+225 to occur), a matchup that would send South America into a frenzy.
