    The United States begins its World Cup today with a match against nemesis Ghana. The Black Stars have knocked the USA out of the competition in each of the last two tournaments.

    In 2006, Ghana eliminated the U.S. from the group stage with a 2-1 win and in 2010 Ghana prevented the Americans from reaching the quarterfinals with a 2-1 victory in extra time.

    For the Americans, getting a win and three points against Ghana is crucial if the Stars and Stripes are to advance out of the Group of Death. The United States are 10/1 to win Group G.

    Bookmakers have the game at a pick'em with the USA +160 to win. A draw is +250, for the first time in 80 years there have been no draws through the first eleven World Cup matches.

    The over/under for the USA/Ghana match is set at 2.5 goals with the over at -115. Through eleven games there have been a total of 37 goals scored, an average of 3.36 goals per game.
