By John Ewing Director of Research and Analytics @johnewing
Championship Week – which teams will win automatic bids to the NCAA tournament? We simulated each conference tournament to find out.

Conference tournaments are the unofficial start of March Madness. Over the next two weeks, single-elimination tournaments will be played with automatic bids to the NCAA Tournament at stake.

We have simulated each conference tournament using our Bracket Simulator to predict which teams will punch their ticket to the Big Dance. The Bracket Simulator is a free tool that gives you the power to simulate the postseason for any sport. Create your own bracket now!

    When: March 4-8

    Where: Conway, SC

The automatic bid goes to: Charleston Southern (20.0%)

The Buccaneers finished the regular season with an exciting 97-93 overtime win against second seed High Point. The victory acted as a tiebreaker to determine the tournament's top overall seed. Charleston Southern is led by Big South Player of the Year Saah Nimley who scored a conference best 21.5 points per game.

And if they lose: High Point (18.6%)

The Panthers are the highest rated team in the Big South Conference in our Power Rankings. High Point is No. 138 and Charleston Southern is No. 181. The Panthers may regret that overtime loss as their path to the championship is more difficult having to face third seed Coastal Carolina. Speaking of the Chanticleers…

    Bid Thief:

Coastal Carolina: the defending Big South Champion has a punchers' chance of repeating in a conference tournament that is wide open.

04/24/2017 Highlight: With baseball season now in full swing, we can leverage our ResultsFinder tool to profile our season-to-date numbers. MLB sides, totals, and run lines have all been profitable to date, generating a total of $580 for an average $50 bettor. There are have been a total of nine "normal" or better positions year-to-date, and those positions are a sparkling 8-1 (88.9%), producing $393 in total profits. There is a ton of variance in baseball and there will be ups-and-downs along the way, but the early returns on the Predictalator's baseball projections are promising.

The NBA Playoffs tipped off this week and the Predictalator is off to a stellar start. With a full season's worth of data to work with, the Predictalator has historically fared very well in the postseason across all sports, and this year has been no different. NBA playoff sides are 9-7 (56.3%) ATS, while NBA playoff totals are 15-9 (62.5%) through Sunday's action. A $50 bettor would have amassed $401 in total profits through the first week of the postseason alone.
