Who will be named the Player of the Year in college basketball? Odds courtesy of Bovada.lv.

    College basketball is back!

Tomorrow there are a 157 college basketball games scheduled. Some of the matchups are intriguing (VCU -6.5 vs. Tennessee, Louisville -8.5 vs. Minnesota (father coaching against son)), while others are less so (Kentucky vs. Grand Canyon, the line can't be high enough).

That's all beside the point, for the first time since March Madness you can get some college hoops action. There are 64 games with lines you can bet.

Of course you can get all of your picks and predictions for tomorrow's games and more by clicking here.

Before the season officially tips off, let's take a quick look at which players have the best chance of being named the 2014-15 Associated Press Player of the Year.

Jahlil Okafor – Duke Blue Devils (5/1)

The 6'11”, 270 pound center from Chicago was named to the first-team preseason All-American list. Coach K has said he expects Okafor to be one-and-done. At 5/1 Okafor is the favorite to win the Player of the Year award but Duke fans are just hoping he can lead the Blue Devils out of the first round of the NCAA Tournament after the embarrassing loss to Mercer last year.

Karl Towns – Kentucky Wildcats (10/1)

Towns is one of three Kentucky players (Willie Cauley-Stein and Aaron Harrison are the others) with odds to win the award. It seems like more Wildcats should have odds given the hype for Kentucky to run the table and finish the season 40 and 0. The 2014 Gatorade National Player of the Year, Towns, might find it difficult to put up impressive numbers with a record nine McDonald All-Americans on the team and a proposed platoon system in Lexington.

Fred VanVleet – Wichita State (40/1)

The Shockers went 35-1 a year ago, VanVleet was a key to Wichita State's success. With Cleanthony Early gone, it will be on the shoulders of VanVleet, the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year, and Ron Baker to return the Shockers to the NCAA Tournament.

Delon Wright – Utah (off the board)

Player to Watch: He isn't on any preseason All-American lists but Wright averaged 15.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game last year. Wright is the reason we have the Utes as the 25th ranked team in our Power Rankings.
